RIATest.com releases an updated version 2.0 of its Flex test automation tool.
Monday, November 17, 2008 – RIATest.com today released an updated version of its test automation tool for Adobe Flex applications. RIATest enables developers and QA professionals to automate GUI testing of Rich Internet Applications developed using Adobe Flex.
Version 2.0 is the second major release of RIATest and offers a host of new powerful features and improvements.
What's New in RIATest 2.0
Powerful enhancements to query functionality include: regular expressions, uses for which include matching property values; location of GUI objects via arbitrary properties, rather than just pre-declared ones; and support for complex properties.
Test scripts now offer full programmatic control of the browser windows. It is possible to open and close them as required, and also to open multiple browser windows, each containing an application being tested.
Tabular data from Flex components can now be accessed in tabular form. This data can be queried and verified during test execution.
Debugging features now incorporate time-saving enhancements. It is possible to run selected scripts, or groups of scripts, instead of the entire project, enabling focused development of particular test cases. Scripts can also be paused, edited, then resumed without restarting the test session. In addition, breakpoints now support advanced debugging.
A new XML output feature makes it easy to integrate RIATest with third-party tools. Test results are now structured for easier filtering and transformation to the required formats.
Other improvements include new RIAScript objects such as Date, Math, RegExp and UIDUtil, plus a new 'switch' language operator.
Pricing and Availability
RIATest 2.0 is priced at USD$499 per user, and is available now for purchase at http://www.riatest.com
